Miyama Bento Box 411 | Tabu

A masterpiece by one of our favorite Japanese artisans, Mr. Hasehira, the Miyama Bento Box 407 | Tabu celebrates the natural elegance of tabu, or Japanese bay tree wood.

Native to coastal regions, tabu is an evergreen prized for its striking woodgrain and versatility. Traditionally used for gates, flooring, furniture, and art, its patterns can evoke fish scales or crab shells—this piece showcases hajô-moku, a mesmerizing wavy grain reminiscent of rippling water.

Bring home a piece of Japanese heritage and timeless craftsmanship.

Handmade in Miyama, Japan.
